What Is the Einstein Olympiad?
The Einstein Olympiad is an international academic competition designed to encourage students’ interest in mathematics, science and creative thinking.
The olympiad was founded in 2024 in Berlin by the Albert Einstein Education Center. Inspired by the legacy of Albert Einstein, it aims to bring together students from different countries and provide them with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, logic, creativity and problem-solving skills.
How Does the Einstein Olympiad Work?
The Einstein Olympiad is organised in two stages:
- National Stage, organised in each participating country by the official partner;
- International Final Stage, where students who qualify through the national stage compete.
The tests are designed according to the students’ grade and corresponding level. The questions aim to assess not only the knowledge acquired at school, but also students’ ability to reason, analyse and develop different solutions to problems.
The qualification and evaluation criteria are determined by the international organisers for each edition of the olympiad.
What Do Students Gain?
Participation in the Einstein Olympiad helps students:
- Challenge their knowledge and abilities;
- Develop logical and critical thinking;
- Improve their problem-solving skills;
- Build greater self-confidence;
- Become familiar with international olympiad standards;
- Represent Albania at the international final.
Depending on their results, students may receive a Gold Medal, Silver Medal, Bronze Medal, Honorable Mention or Certificate of Participation.
Awards from the international stage are issued in cooperation with the organisers and may be verified online through the olympiad’s official platform.
Einstein Olympiad in Albania
StarBalkans organises and coordinates the participation of Albanian students in the Einstein Olympiad Albania, supporting them throughout the registration process, preparation, national stage and participation in the international final.
In 2026, the national stage was held at several centres across Albania, with students from Grade 1 through Grade 12 taking part.
Students were evaluated according to their respective grade and level, while the winners earned the opportunity to continue their journey to the international stage.
The 2026 International Final will take place in Berlin, Germany, from 26 to 30 October 2026, where qualified students will represent Albania alongside their peers from different countries.
